During most weeks of the academic year I have read the text assignments for three years of Education for Ministry (EfM). The last ten pages about Christian history, from the tome by Diarmand MacCulloch, always feel like the final leg of a triathlon. As if I would know. True confession: mine were always mini-triathlons. But you knew that, of course. Each time I finish uninjured, with God’s help, I’m proud, I’ll admit, and grateful.
