The angel said to her:
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Luke 1:30
El ángel le dijo:
María, no tengas miedo, pues tú gozas del favor de Dios. Lucas 1:30
I see myself as a strong, independent, unafraid woman. I broke my ankle and the day of the surgery I was afraid. In that moment I reached out to the community of Saints that had supported me throughout the years asking for prayers. Thank you! Prayers are powerful.
Mil gracias! La oracion tiene poder.

I often wonder how I would respond to being chosen. Chosen by G-D to carry hope. To carry love. To carry the divine. Would I have the courage to mutter the phrase, “Here I am, LORD”? Would I be willing to allow my body to go through all the changes that accompany pregnancy and childbirth for G-D?
On this Annunciation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Blessed Virgin Mary, I will take some time leaning into this story. Leaning into Mary’s courage, trust, and listening for where G-D calls me. And my prayer for all of us who are constantly being called is that we can respond by saying “here I am.”

I am sorry there was a time when I judged his faith. Now I realize he has one of the purest versions. He can come alongside me and others in a quiet way, experiencing my heart with his. Through nature and science especially, he feels the continuity of life. I love him to the moon and back.
I am grateful to have all this time here with him on this plane now.
I ask him to forgive my iniquities—how he might suffer due to my assumptions. Today and always.

Happy Birthday, Rob!
It is remarkable to grow old alongside another human being. Given who you are and what we have created together, I do not lose heart.
Today and always, I wish you the very best.
